July 2018 Skincare Favorites

Michelle from Missmisschelle shares her favorite skincare products that she has tested and loved in the month of July 2018.

June 2018 Skincare Favorites

AlfredsCoffee-2.jpg

Boy, is this heat wave weather driving anybody insane these days or is it just me?! If you're spending the next few days under the beaming sun, be sure to layer your face & body with SPF. Honestly, I already know a good amount of family members and friends who avoid this necessary everyday skincare step and suffer the consequences through the form of an unwanted farmer's tan. Don't be like them and be sure to take any necessary precaution to protect your skin from the sun's harmful UV rays ;)

In today's blog post, I want to share with you guys the trustworthy products that I've tried and loved throughout the month of June. This product review includes the latest additions that I've made to my skincare collection (ex: cleansers, creams, Vitamin C products, etc.) and softening/plumping lip products. Any products that I've liked and would use more than once - I've included in this review. If you haven't seen my May 2018 Skincare Favorites blog post, be sure to check it out here. So without further ado, let's go over my June favorites!

Cleansers

Rose Cream Cleanser:

Recently, I've tried the Rose Cream Cleanser from Pixi Beauty and absolutely LOVE the smooth texture of this product. It reminds me of those Club Mud days at Glen Ivy Hot Springs, as that was the first time I've ever experienced applying mud to my face. Although it doesn't have the foamy, bubbly texture that typical cleansers carry, I love how soft it makes my skin feel. The Rose Cream Cleanser is definitely a treat-yo-self type of cleanser that I will be incorporating into my morning skincare routine.

Even though I was told by my dermatologist that even splashing solely water on your face works in the morning, I've read enough skincare blog posts that mentioned that cleaning your face in the morning is important to eliminate the bacteria/dirt that you get throughout the night when you toss and turn in bed. Thus, the Rose Cream Cleanser will definitely be a part of my mornings from now on.

Precleanse (Travel Size):

Love love loveeeee the travel size of this Precleanse from Dermalogica! Additionally, I adore how it comes with a mini "facial scrub brush" (sorry that I don't have a better name for it) so that my precleanse turns into a foamy mixture once combined with lukewarm water. I've added this travel-sized Precleanse to my travel bag whenever I sleepover at a friend's house or travel away from home for a couple days. Definitely recommend this baby for any traveler who needs a deeper cleanse to get rid of all of their makeup at night before bedtime! You can read my review of the traditional sized Precleanse in my May 2018 Skincare Favorites blog post here.

Vitamin C

The only two Vitamin C products that I have recently tried for the month of June are Dermalogica's Biolumin-C serum and H2V's Triple C Accelerator. Personally, if I had to choose a favorite Vitamin C product, I am still hooked on on the Kiehl's Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate  - I won't lie, the slight tingle (which feels like a tiny pinch!) that I receive from this specific product makes me feel like it's truly working its magic on my skin! However, the Dermalogica and H2V products also serve as great options for getting your external dose of Vitamin C and I've switched between the two often throughout the month of June.

The H2V product has more of a sticky gel-like texture, but absorbs rather quickly into the skin - which I like, since personally I'm not a fan of skincare products that take forever to be absorbed! Meanwhile, the Dermalogica product has a more watery base compared to the H2V product and smells absolutely amazing! Actually, let me put it this way - ALL Dermalogica products smell amazing!

Moisturizers & Creams

Although other people might think I'm crazy, I actually take pride and LOVE every second of my evening skincare routine! Yes, applying each and every skincare product on to my skin may take a while when you add up the total amount of time of the routine, given that you need to wait at least 10 minutes for each product to effectively absorb into your skin for the full beneficial effects. However, I find my evening skincare routine to serve as one of the best destressors before I go to sleep and it allows me to focus on just ME for once (and not things like Instagram, work, emails, etc.).

I've tested two products throughout June and these are from two of my favorite go-to skincare brands that you've probably already heard me talk about before - BABOR and Dermalogica.

BABOR is absolutely amazing at what they do and I can vouch that I am literally in love with every one of their products. Not only do I use their Rose Essence Toner every single night for MONTHS, but I recently tried out the BABOR Skinovage Moisturizing Cream. Can I just say that BABOR's packaging is freakin' classy AF? Every container they have is minimal and sleek, and just using any of their products  makes me feel like I'm treating my skin like royalty. The BABOR Skinovage Moisturizing Cream is very moisturizing and lightweight - you can call this perfect kind of cream when it comes to texture and density, as it is not too thin nor is it too heavy and thick.

On the other hand, I've been using Dermalogica's Pure Night treatment cream for the last couple nights and again, the smell of their products are very soothing...soothing enough to put me to sleep. Zzz....whoops, can't sleep on you now! Additionally, I like to add five drops of Pixi Beauty's Jasmine Oil Blend to this specific treatment cream and mix them together for a very moisturizing concoction that I can safely call my own. Also, another reason why I decided to combine the two products upon application is because I would go HAM with the Pixi oil blend drops and apply 10 drops or more to my skin, LOL. When I told the Pixi Beauty team about my infatuation for their oil drops, they started laughing and thought I was silly. Welp, I aim to please anyways.

Mist

When I attended Pixi Beauty's intimate dinner event a couple weeks ago at Pelican Hill Resort, they taught us all about their collection of products - including their famous Glow Mist. I believe they included the Glow Mist in our goodie bags to take home that night, so that gave me the perfect opportunity to try it out!

Only the girls who attended the dinner will understand this, but there was one moment in time where we passed around a Mist product and started spritzing ourselves like crazy, haha. Now, whether I'm make-up free or wearing my makeup of the day, I always try to sneak a couple sprays on to my face. It also serves as a great way to cool down from this crazy heat! The Glow Mist contains 21 natural oils, propols, aloe vera, and fruit extracts to help hydrate your skin as a pick-me-up in the morning or adds glow all the while setting your makeup look.

Lip Products

I don't know why the magic number is TWO in this blog post, but for some reason, it coincidentally ended up that way - I've tried TWO lip products this month and both are awesome in their own ways! First, we have the COOLA Liplux, which is an amazing lip balm with SPF 30 for that extra suncare protection - thanks COOLA ;) It's not too sticky and doesn't taste bad at all (trust me when I've "tasted" some lip balms that I couldn't handle the taste of), and comes in a convenient size to throw in your purse or travel bag! Honestly, I keep one near my nightstand at all times so I can do a quick coat before going to bed.

Another lip product that I absolutely LOVE is the Algenist Genius Liquid Collagen Lip. It's a new product that Algenist released, and it is amaaazing. Although I am not a huge fan of the look of plump lips (even though it's the "rave" these days), I don't notice a hugely different plumping effect, which makes me a happy camper. The reason why I love this product is so much is for the fact that it moisturizes and softens my entire lips. I will be honest that the taste isn't my favorite, but who says you should be eating lip products anyways, Michelle? Regardless of the taste, I still use this every night as the last step of my evening skincare routine and it's my current go-to lip product. If you're looking for a trustworthy and quality lip product that will keep your lips moisturized and unchapped, this is the product you need!

I hope you guys enjoyed reading my second skincare blog post series! If you have any favorite skincare products of your own, I'd love to hear about them in the comments section below - let's chat!

May 2018 Skincare Favorites

MichaelToddBeauty-1.jpg

Hello everybody, and happy first day of June! I've been wanting to write about the topic of SKINCARE for a while because it has literally become my new obsession as of lately, but I never found the time to shoot all of my skincare products until recently! In this new "Skincare Favorites" blog post series that I've decided to add to Missmisschelle, I plan to share all of the skincare products that I currently use or have recently tried out and will only share my HONEST opinions about each one! If I love a product, you'll definitely understand why after you've tried it for yourself. On the other hand, if a product didn't resonate well with me, I'll also explain what I didn't like about it OR I'll leave it out of this post altogether, heh. Now, let's get on to my top skincare favorites of May!

May2018SkincareFavorites-1.jpg

Cleansers

Cleansing Brush:
Out of all of the months of having a strict skincare routine, I have NEVER incorporated a cleansing brush into my morning or evening routine until just recently. Ever since I added Michael Todd Beauty's SoniClear Petite in the color "English Garden" to my cleansing step, I have been nothing but a happy camper! With cleansing brushes, they really help dig deeply into the skin to eliminate surface dirt and impurities that may reside on your face.

Precleanse:
Never have I took "double cleansing" seriously until I visited the Dermalogica Headquarters for one of their amazing Friday Facials. Throughout my facial, my professional skincare therapist showed and educated me on the various products that she applied to my face. The very first product she used during my facial was the Dermalogica Precleanse, which is an oil-based cleanser that is combined with lukewarm water to remove your makeup. I absolutely LOVE using oil-based products to remove makeup because I personally feel like they do a much better job than your average drugstore makeup solutions or makeup removing wipes. If you're looking for a holy grail product that eliminates a full cake of makeup, the Dermalogica Precleanse is a product that you NEED to add to your evening skincare routine. On days that I wear no makeup, I skip the precleanse step!

Shop:
Dermalogica Precleanse

Cleanser:
Wait, I thought we already talked about a cleanser. Nope! That was the precleanse - aka a cleanser before your cleanser. LOL Michelle, how much more confusing can you be right now?! Well, my friends said that I can confuse them pretty easily so...yeah, I can be pretty confusing LOL. But, let me break it down for ya. A cleanser is used as a secondary cleaning precaution to further remove any dirt or impurities from the surface of your skin. Our faces are exposed to a bunch of bacteria and pollution throughout the day, so it never hurts to double cleanse (aka use a precleanse and then a cleanser right after)! For cleansers, I switch between the Instytutum Cleansing Milk and the Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel. While the Cleansing Milk is a very gentle substance perfect for my sensitive skin, I love how the Special Cleansing Gel creates huge foam bubbles upon use with my cleansing brush - just something about seeing bubbles makes me feel EXTRA clean! I apply either cleanser to my Michael Todd Beauty SoniClear Petite cleansing brush and voila, I have a cleaner face!

Exfoliators, Toners, Pore Refiners, & Acne Creams

Exfoliator:
An exfoliator serves as an effective way to remove the dead skin cells off of your. After using an exfoliator, you are left with baby butt soft skin. However, I would only recommend using an exfoliator a few times per week, or even less if you have sensitive skin - you want to exfoliate your skin, but you don't want to irritate it! Two exfoliators I currently use include the Instytutum Triple Effect Peel and Burke Williams H2V Buff Refinining Exfoliant. While I switch off between either product 1-2 times per week, they both leave a different, yet refreshing feeling on my face after the application process. While the Triple Effect Peel gets the job done and I feel perfectly exfoliated, the Buff Exfoliator gives me a tingly feeling that leaves my face feeling very refreshed after washing it off in the shower - plus it smells amazing. The results when I use either product? Super soft skin and a happy Michelle.

Shop:

Burke Williams H2V Buff Refining Exfoliant

Toner:
Tone, tone, and tone! In the past, I was so clueless as to what a toner did until I discovered the meaning for myself in a random month's issue of Cosmopolitan magazine. In the article, it explained the steps of a standard skincare process perfectly and I loved the article so much that I ended up sharing a photo of the article on my Instastories. Within 24 hours, someone DM'd me and ended up thanking me for teaching me what a toner does! LOL girl, don't thank me, thank Cosmopolitan! ;) Anyways, a toner is used to restore the pH balance of your skin and has the consistency of water. Whenever I apply my BABOR Rose Toning Essence every night, I literally feel like I'm slapping water upon my face but girl, the contents are so much more powerful than water. With toner, I apply a couple pumps into my hand, rub it on my palm for some added warmth, then pat gently around my entire face to allow the substance to absorb. Once it's dry, I move on to a serum!

Shop:
BABOR Rose Toning Essence

Pore Refiner:
For weeks now, I've been using the Bioderma Sebium Pore Refiner. It has a matte finish that leaves your skin feeling soft and firm and creates a great base for the remaining application process for the rest of my evening skincare routine products.

Shop:
Bioderma Sebium Pore Refiner

Acne Cream:
After my Dermalogica facial, I was gifted all of the products that they used throughout my facial, including the Dermalogica Breakout Control. I use this acne cream after my toner, but before my serum.

A tip for those who are new to skincare routines - if you ever forget what order to apply your creams and serums, you want to apply your skincare products from the lightest consistency to the most dense.

Shop:
Dermalogica Breakout Control

Serums

Serums are essential for an effective skincare routine, as these are the products that help the absorption process of the ingredients and nutrients from skincare products that will be applied after the serum. The consistency of a serum is thick, and it feels a bit like wet glue, without the stickiness. Sorry that I don't have a better way to explain the consistency, heh. Regardless, I love using the Instytutum Serum or Instytutum Oyster Renewal Serum because it leaves a very dewy glow on my face before I proceed with the rest of my skincare routine. After applying these specific serums to my face, I can safely say that I can never live without a serum in my life again.

Shop:
Instytutum Serum

Oils

So, oils are a relatively new step that I incorporated recently into my skincare routine. Relatively new meaning like 1-2 weeks ago, heh. As much as I heard that oils were amazing for the skin (thanks to Chriselle Lim and Ellenor from SpreadFashion), I just never hopped on the oil bandwagon because I didn't really know which one to get for myself. Luckily for me, Pixi sent me a surprise package in the mail one day and lo' and behold, this mystery gift included a Jasmine Oil Blend. SCORE! As soon as I applied this product to my face, I couldn't stop touching my face - really! You know how people pet dogs and they can't stop? I was doing the same thing to my face, LOL! Call me weird all you want, but the softening effects of this oil were MINDBLOWING. Also, you have to get used to the fact that oils sit on your face for quite a while, so I allow this to absorb a bit longer before applying my other skincare products (10-30 minutes).

Shop:
Pixi Beauty Jasmine Oil Blend

Moisturizers

When it comes to moisturizers, I've been using the Instytutum Lifting Cream for months now. And when I say months, I'm on my second container of Lifting Cream - now you can just imagine how big this product is to last me several months! What I look for in a moisturizer includes hydrating properties, texture, scent, and how it makes my skin feel afterwards. And just as I predicted, my face feels so much more moist, soft, and hydrated after applying this baby on to my skin.

Shop:
Instytutum Lifting Cream

Eye Creams

Last but not least, we have the eye cream step! Although I use the Instytutum Eye Cream pretty much every night, sometimes I swap out for the Pixi Beauty 24K Eye Elixir once in a while if I want a different eyelifting experience. While the Eye Cream gets the job done and combats dark circles and puffiness under my eyes, I really enjoy the cold touch of the metal rod from the 24K Eye Elixir. Also with the Eye Elixir, you can store it in the fridge before use for that EXTRA wake-up call! Additionally, the Eye Elixir is very convenient and tiny to store in your bag or during travels so I love bringing this baby along on my trips!

Sunblock & Vitamin C

For this specific section of skincare products, I utilize sunblock and Vitamin C products only in the morning and throughout the day. Although I've only gotten into skincare just a couple months back, it's never too late to start - especially when it comes to protecting your skin with the SPF. This has never been stressed enough, but SPF is vital towards protecting your skin against harmful UV rays. By starting early and taking the necessary precautions to protect your skin daily, you will notice a HUGE effect later on when you get older - in fact, your skin will look a lot more youthful, supple, and healthy than those who didn't bother to apply the proper skincare or SPF protection when younger. When it comes to sunblock, I've used the CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30 for years now and it was highly recommended by my dermatologist. What I love about this particular sunblock is the fact that it simultaneously acts like a moisturizer and sunblock - love, love, love! Honestly, I hated applying sunblock in the past due to the fact that it felt so chalky or sticky, but this facial moisturizing lotion is truly a skincare blessing in disguise. I would highly recommend using this product on the daily before you head out of the house for the day. Additionally, before I apply my makeup, I like to add in the COOLA Daydream Mineral Primer SPF 30 for a protective base to apply my makeup on and for added SPF protection. Literally, I got this primer in January and I'm already half way done! Lastly, I've recently added the application of Vitamin C to my skin thanks to SpreadFashion's helpful skincare advice and I love using Kiehl's Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate. This Vitamin C product contains hyaluronic acid, which is why I always feel a slight tingle upon application, but my skin has never felt more tightened and firm! Additionally, this concentrate is great for eliminating fine lines and wrinkles so I'm happy that I am able to implement a few anti-aging skincare steps while in my mid-20's! Also, I'm running out of this product too so I better restock soon, heh.

Travel-Friendly Skincare You Can Trust For Cold Travel Destinations

BigBear-1.jpg

One of the best ways that I destress from work and life's problems is to take a weekend getaway to a city that isn't too far from home. Thus, I took up my friend's offer this weekend to visit Big Bear Lake in California because who can pass up gorgeous cabin vibes in the middle of the snowy outdoors? Although I didn't go skiing or snowboarding (which is the reason why a majority of people visit Big Bear), I definitely felt the chilly vibes kick into full gear as soon as I opened the car door. While everybody in my group hit the slopes, I chose to either shoot pictures around the cabin with my camera gear (shoutout to the self-timer option!) or catch up on work in the Airbnb cabin that we rented out. While I'm here, I wanted to share with you guys a few travel-friendly skincare products that I've used for months and some that I just started trying out. Thanks to these products, my skin still feels smooth and moisturized to the touch, even when braving the intense cold for the gram. So, let's get on with the skincare products!

Skin Authority: Acne & Oil Control

I just added Skin Authority's Acne & Oil Control to my morning skincare routine, and I have to say that it works like a charm. The consistency feels exactly like a toner and absorbs fairly quickly into my skin within seconds after application. If you don't know what a toner feels like, it pretty much has the same consistency as water.

After washing my face upon getting out of bed, I apply this product FIRST before applying any other skincare or makeup products on to my face. The Acne & Oil Control acts like a preemptive measure of protection for my face - it specializes in eliminating bacteria and decreasing inflammation.

CeraVe: Facial Moisturizing Lotion

When it comes to sunscreens, I absolutely cannot stand the products that feel sticky or chalky upon application. Luckily for me, I discovered CeraVe's Facial Moisturizing Lotion through my dermatologist and have been using it every day for two years so far. I always apply this product before putting on my makeup look for the day. Because it has the creamy consistency of lotion, my skin absorbs the product really well and I feel that this product offers two deals in one - SPF protection and moisturization. Consider me a lifetime fan of the product.

Bioderma: Sensibio H2O Biodegradable Facial Cleansing and Makeup Remover Wipes

Along with the first product that I mentioned in this blog post, I also added Bioderma's makeup remover wipes into my evening skincare routine recently. If you ask me, I actually prefer makeup wipes over makeup solution any day - I personally feel that they effectively remove more dirt and makeup in one use. This is a product that I can imagine using for years.

However, if we want to get super technical about my makeup removal process, I go through three steps in total. Although it's not pictured in this blog post, I use DHC's Deep Cleansing Oil to remove all of the heavy makeup products that sit on my skin. For a deeper cleansing, I would use the Bioderma makeup wipes as the second step towards cleaner skin. Then, I follow up with Botanics All Bright Soothing Eye Makeup Remover to eliminate any excess eyeshadow or foundation that may reside on the surface of my skin.

Instytutum: Cleansing Milk

Whether I'm taking a shower before bedtime or ready to hit the pillows, I use Instytutum's Cleansing Milk to clean my face of dirt and impurities after I've taken all of my makeup off (or didn't wear makeup that day to begin with). The product feels very gentle and lightweight, and I apply a dime-sized amount to my finger before lightly rubbing the product on to my face in circular motions. Then, I wash it off with lukewarm water. This is definitely a cleanser I have used for months, and can continue using for months after. After this cleansing step, I'm ready to moisturize!

BigBear-5.jpg

Bioderma: Sebium Pore Refiner Corrective Care

After cleaning my face but before applying additional skincare products to my face, I apply this product to help shrink and clear my pores. The function of this product is pretty self-explanatory, but I have no complaints whatsoever.

Pixi Beauty: Rose Caviar Essence

Can I just say that this products smells SO damn good?! My face literally feels like royalty when I apply this baby on. Not only is this product super moisturizing, but it has such a mesmerizing floral scent that I'm obsessed with. I wish that it came in a bigger size because I swear I could use this product up within weeks!

BABOR: Soothing Cream Rich

I've used BABOR's products during a six-week trial in the past and can safely say that their products are QUALITY. For this blog post, I've compiled a list of travel-friendly skincare products, but trust me when I say that I also use their cleanser and microsilver concentrates from their DOCTOR RX collection. I didn't bring their Microsilver Concentrates on this particular trip since it was only a three-day trip, but these concentrates are definitely VERY travel-friendly in size (they come in tiny glass bottles!) and do wonders in moisturizing.

Specifically, BABOR's Soothing Cream Rich is packed with ingredients that lead to healthy, moisturized skin, but I will say that this product leaves your face looking very dewy by the end of your skincare routine. If you don't mind the dewiness, then this product is for you. All in all, BABOR is definitely one of my favorite skincare brands of all time.

Instytutum: Eye Cream

I've been using Instytutum's eye cream for months, and I can't ever imagine not using it before bedtime! When applying eye cream, you want to use your fourth finger (ring finger) and gently pat the cream under your eyes on the eyebags section. Also, I heard that you can also apply eye cream on your eyelids as well - doesn't hurt to add moisturize extra, am I right? Since the eye area is very delicate, you want to be very careful and gentle with this area of your skin, and avoid roughly or aggressively applying any creams to this area. I can definitely consider this eye cream to be a winner in my books.

If you enjoyed reading this blog post, please let me know which of these products caught your eye in the comments section below! Since I'm a huge fanatic of skincare, don't be surprised if I post another skincare-related blog post anytime soon ;) Until then, I'll talk to you guys soon!

Five Skincare Brands That I've Used For The Last Six Months

AdmireMySkin-2.jpg

As a lover of all things beauty and skincare, there's always this huge feeling of excitement I get when I'm about to try out a new skincare brand. How will it feel on my skin? Will this be a product I can use for months or years? Does it smell good?

These questions and more appear in my head every time that I apply a foreign cream or serum on to my hands before the application process. Now without further ado, I'd like to introduce you to the five skincare brands that I've tested and loved for the last several months.

AdmireMySkin-1.jpg

1. Admire My Skin - Intense Hydration Collagen Cream, Clinically Effective Retinoid Cream, Ultra-Potent Brightening Serum

I discovered Admire My Skin from a fellow blogger's Instagram page and knew that this was one brand that I wanted to try out for myself based on its natural ingredients. After all, Instagram is one of the top places where I discover new brands, whether it's about skincare, fashion, or food - so thank you Instagram for introducing me to such an amazing brand!

Admire My Skin was created by founder Amy Romero and she is one of the sweetest owners I've ever spoken with. Whenever I had a question about her products, she sent me back a prompt email reply with precise details on how each of the ingredients would play a role on my skin. Also, she is the owner of OZNaturals, another skincare brand that I partnered up and shared with you guys with last December - feel free to read last year's post here.

For a four-week span of time, I switched over my typical everyday Instytutum skincare regimen to try out these products. Just like anything fashion or food, I personally don't believe that you're obligated to devote yourself to only one skincare brand. Instead, I think you should be open-minded towards trying many brands and seeing which ones work best for your skin type. By testing out different products here and there, you get a feel for what ingredients your skin reacts best and worse to.

Thus, I would apply an respective cream or serum and wait 10 minute increments in between skincare steps so that my skin fully absorbs each application. Once per day, I started with the Clinically Effective Retinoid Cream, followed by the Ultra-Potent Brightening Serum, and ended with the Intense Hydration Collagen Cream.

I will be honest and say that the retinoid cream does not smell the greatest when being applied, but my preference in skincare revolves around floral or muted scents. However, I did find that the retinoid cream absorbs pretty fast into my skin, making it feel baby soft after just one minute. In contrast, the brightening serum had a more dewy and wet feel to it. With the serum, Amy advised me to use the "spot treatment technique", which involves applying just a little bit of the serum to a small area of your skin just in case it reacts badly to the new treatment. I only made sure to apply this serum to my chin, as that was my main target area to combat dark spots.

Over time, my skin stayed baby soft by applying this three-step process daily, but you have to continuously use these products every day for a couple of weeks to actually see positive results. If I had to share with you my favorite parts about this brand, it has to be its cruelty-free innovation and its guaranteed hydration.

Instytutum-2.jpg

2. Instytutum - Oyster Renewal Serum, Lifting Cream, Eye Cream, Alive Water

Instytutum has been the holy grail of skincare that I've been using for the longest time now, which is approximately more than six months in total. If I ever stop using Instytutum, it's because I am temporarily trying out other products to see how they work, but I will always stay a loyal fan to this particular skincare brand.

Not only are all of their products minimally and beautifully packaged, but I can confidently say that I know their products guarantee results. My favorite products has to be their Oyster Renewal Serum, Lifting Cream, and Eye Cream, which makes up my entire morning and evening routine! If I'm ever sweaty from the gym or feel that my makeup needs a refresher, I spritz their refreshing Alive Water on to my face for that effortless, dewy look.

3. BABOR - Limited Edition MASTERPIECE Ampoule Set

When I went to the Pala Casino Resort & Spa Influencer Event, we were introduced to BABOR near the poolside of this luxurious hotel. BABOR is a German brand that packages their skincare in the classiest of glass bottles - ideal travel sized skincare bottles, product development through green electricity production, and cruelty-free means sounds like a win-win in my book!

We were able to try a couple of samples at the resort and I found it cool that you have to snap the glass bottle in half to use it. You're supposed to use one bottle per application and apply the serum to your face and neck. At the end, you're left with dewy, radiant skin. I highly recommend purchasing the Limited Edition MASTERIPIECE Ampoule Set if you're looking for a convenient skincare brand for travel!

PixiBeauty-1.jpg

4. Pixi Beauty - Glow Tonic

I've seen Pixi Beauty products both on Instagram and fully stocked at my local Target, but one thing that I haven't seen was a PERSONALIZED Glow Tonic until I received one on my doorstep one morning! The added customization feature was enough for my curiosity to strike since the bottle literally calls out my name, hah. Using a single cotton pad, I apply the Glow Tonic all over my face until I have a refreshed and dewy look. Thanks Pixi Beauty for that extra hydration my skin needs before I apply the rest of my evening skincare regimen!

5. COOLA - Eco-Lux 8OZ Sport SPF Guava Mango Sunscreen Spray

Similarly to BABOR, I discovered the COOLA booth at the Pala Casino Resort & Spa Influencer Event. Not only do they offer multiple sunscreens in different scents, but their packaging is entirely made up of my favorite color! My favorite sunscreen has to be the Eco-Lux 8OZ Sport SPF Guava Mango Sunscreen Spray for its fruity smell and lightweight and misty application process. Whether I'm heading to the beach or on a quick dog walk, I don't forget to spray this sunscreen all over my body.

And that concludes the five skincare brands (and various products) that I've been using for the last couple of months. If you have any skincare brands that you'd like me to try out, please let me know in the comments section below. Until then, I'll talk to you guys soon!
