July 2018 Skincare Favorites

Happy first day of August everybody! Typically near the end of each month, I round-up my favorite skincare products that I've used and loved for that respective month and share a detailed review of each products with you guys. If you're ever curious what my current favorites are, don't ever hesitate to email me or slide through my Instagram DM's to ask me any questions - I love being able to share my skincare knowledge with all of you! Now, it's about time I share with you guys which products that I've been obsessing over in July!

After seeing my favorite Singapore beauty blogger, Christabel Chua from Bellywellyjelly, rave about Fresh products, I knew I had to get my hands on a few myself. Thus, I took a quick trip to my local Sephora and picked up two new products - Fresh's Soy Face Cleanser and Fresh's Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask (Seaweed Radiance Facial).

The Soy Face Cleanser is perfect for all skin types, as it is one of the most lightweight and gentle cleansers that I've used of all times. If you have sensitive skin and fear how other cleansers may irritate your skin, I would highly suggest trying out this cleanser! Additionally, it works to both clean and tone your skin for that soft, radiant complexion.

Now, let's talk about the new holy grail product by Fresh that I was completely whisked away from. Introducing the Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask - packed with natural ingredients that keep my skin looking and feeling supple. As soon as I apply this mask in circular motions and wash it off with lukewarm water, my skin has experienced its softest state yet. Honestly, I didn't expect this mask to transform my skin's texture within one use, but I definitely felt a HUGE difference after using this product. This product is a bit on the pricey side to be honest ($69.00), but seeing how great it makes my skin feel, I may stock up on this product as soon as I run out! The Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask was definitely a curious purchase that greatly benefitted the health of my skin. Love, love, LOVE!

For some odd (and hilarious) reason, it's become a natural habit for me to spritz Pixi Beauty's Hydrating Milky Mist all over my face several times a day at my office desk at home. If you ask one of my Bay Area friends named Wendy, she can vouch that I do this whenever we hop on webcam together to go over the editing process of our video collaborations.

Something about spraying this mist all over my face soothes me and keeps me calm throughout a stressful workday. Honestly, it's actually a BENEFICIAL way to take a break from work. Not only do you keep your skin hydrated throughout the day, but you're also doing yourself a favor and treating yo self (and your eyes) to a little shut-eye by temporarily looking away from the computer screen. Since I own two Hydrating Milky Mists, I keep one at my office desk for funsies and I pack another one with me to spray on at the gym anytime I need a quick pick-me-up!

Another mist that I love is Pixi Beauty's Glow Mist, which accomplishes a very similar role as the Hydrating Milky Mist.

Although I've been using Pixi Beauty's Jasmine Oil Blend religiously throughout my evening skincare routine, I recently swapped it out with the Pixi Beauty Rose Oil Blend to tell the difference. According to Pixi Beauty employees, they informed me that the Rose Oil Blend has a thicker and denser texture, which I ended up liking a lot! Every night, I combine 1-3 drops of the Pixi Beauty Rose Oil Blend with my night moisturizer (I swap between Dermalogica's Pure Night Overnight Cream and BABOR's Skinovage Moisturizing Cream whenever I feel like it) and my skin always radiates this dewy complexion by the end of this step.

Although I didn't try out as many new skincare products this month, I'm ecstatic that I discovered a couple new favorites this month! What is your favorite skincare brand? Talk to me in the comments below - let's chat!
