Happy September everybody! For this respective skincare blog post, I share my favorite August skincare essentials and which products I have tested out throughout the span of last month. If you don't know what this blog post series is about, I provide my honest feedback on certain skincare brands and products that I review - pricepoint, quality of ingredients, packaging, you name it. If you have always wanted to learn more about skincare or you are an aspiring skincare enthusiast, I hope that these blog posts help you out on discovering new brands and potentially trying out new products on your bathroom cabinet!

Cleansers

One brand that is very popular in the beauty/skincare market that I have not shared with you guys yet is La Roche-Posay. By analyzing their clean and sleek packaging, one feature that I do have to point out is their clear and easy-to-read text. Honestly, I'm not a fan of skincare/beauty products that make it so difficult to find out their purpose, role, or function or if it's provided in extremely tiny font that even somebody with 20/20 cannot read properly. If a consumer wants to buy a product, he/she needs to be able to find the type of product and what it accomplishes on the packaging within a matter of seconds. Otherwise, it's buh-bye and hello to the next neighboring product line. Thankfully, La Roche-Posay makes things easier and provides all the information that you need to know about their products on the very FRONT of their containers.

Recently, I had the opportunity to try the La Roche-Posay Purifying Foaming Cleanser, which is safe for sensitive skin users like myself. Since it comes in a huge tube, I love storing this baby on my shower shelf and love how this product will probably last me for at least a few months! Texture-wise, this is a foaming gel cleanser that gently removes impurities, oil, dirt, and makeup. Definitely a must-have for all shower stalls!

Because I'm such a Pixi Beauty-obsessed fanatic, I HAVE to introduce another product that I've from their collection - introducing the Pixi Beauty + Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse. Essentially, this product contains two essential cleansers in ONE container. While the left side contains a solid cleansing gel that has a similar feel to hardened coconut oil, the right side consists of a white cleansing cream that is smooth and moisturizing to the touch. When I applied and massaged the solid cleansing oil on to my face in a circular motion, it was a very soothing and therapeutic application process that made my skin feel like it was receiving the pampering of a LIFETIME! After washing off the coconut oil, I applied the cleansing cream in the same fashion - this cleansing cream felt like one of those lotions/moisturizers that continued to spread on your body without being fully absorbed. Similarly to the solid coconut oil cleansing step, I washed off the cleansing cream with lukewarm water before using my Rose Toning Essence by BABOR.

All in all, I believe that the Pixi Beauty + Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse is ideal for everyday use. However, I would personally suggest a more dense and thicker cleansing oil for days where you want to take off a heavy load of make up - such as Precleanse by Dermalogica or Deep Cleansing Oil by DHC Skincare.

Serums

When it comes to serums, I'll be honest when I say that I'm pretty picky about the consistency, texture, and smell - hence why I only have a few go-to serum favorites. Because I ran out of my Instytutum Serum not too long ago from my Travel Skincare Essentials Kit, I opened a new serum product and this one turned out to be Bioderma's Serum. Lightweight in texture and packed with a subtle fragrance, I have no complaints about this serum and it has now become another favorite to throw into my Travel Skincare Essentials Kit. With its blue transparent cap and twist-lock feature, Bioderma's Serum serves as the ideal product to bring on a weekend getaway or sleepover due to its chic and fuss-free packaging.

Eye Creams

Another luxury skincare brand that I recently discovered and wanted to introduce to you guys is VII Code. Not only do I love the classic and elegant packaging of my VII Code 5ML T2 Oxygen Eye Cream, but the quality ingredients in this cream definitely fulfilled my expectations. Specifically, this eye cream carries anti-aging properties and facilitates healing/regeneration of damaged skin cells in the delicate eye area. Since the eye area is so delicate, you want to make sure to apply eye cream with your fourth finger by patting gently on the dark circles of your eyes. Honestly, I do think this is product lies on the pricier end ($99 for 5ML), but I am also the type of person who is willing to splurge on anything for over-the-top satisfaction and guaranteed results. If you're not afraid to break the bank for trustworthy and quality skincare, I highly suggest that you check out VII Code's website here.

Lip Balms

Now, I have tried my share of lip balms and I'll be honest when I say that I'm pretty picky on the texture and moisture level of my lip balm. SoftLips has been with me since the beginning of time, but a new favorite that I recently picked up is the Pixi by Petra Shea Butter Lip Balm. Honestly, I haven't been disappointed with any of Pixi's products and you can never go wrong with shea butter.

And that's all of the products that I've tried in the month of August! If you have any further questions about any of these brands or products, please don't hesitate to DM me or leave a blog post comment! I love sharing about my favorite skincare products with all of you guys :) Until then, I'll talk to you guys soon!
